BLANKNESS for AD

“Blankness” is an important representation method in literary and artistic creation. However, “Blankness” is not blank, it is a window of imagination, a way of artistic conception. It is said that blankness is a lesson, a kind of artistic accomplishment, and an indispensable part of designing art. During the design, a blank background means “False” that can set off the visual “True”. The existing empty space and “False” or “True” are not independent, but foil each other. The virtual space which formed by blankness brings people much room to imagine. Therefore, through visiting the virtual space, you can appreciate the higher-level that beyond subjects. This is why we suggest it’s an indispensable part of design.

The charm of blankness design lies in seeing some super blankness. For designers, blankness is design language with funs, simpleness, and full of temptation. According to their way of thinking, designers and viewers can imagine and create with blankness. Suitable blankness, of course, means more or less blankness will break the equality. In other words, this requires broad accumulation and rich practical experiences of life. Other factors on the layout, blankness and the ratio of subject must take into consideration. That is to say, whether a layout is good or not depends largely on the combination of blankness with pictures and words. These three aspects of design are mainly decided by the area, position and shape of blankness, etc. Hence, the control and use of blankness cannot be ignored in the layout.
